Shenzhen(China)
The Port of Shenzhen is spread along Shenzhen city’s 260 km coastline. It is separated by the Kowloon Peninsula into two areas: the eastern port and the western port.
Shenzhen port's western port is located to the east of Lingdingyang in the Pearl River Estuary and consist of a deep water harbor with safe natural shelters. It is about 37.04 km from Hong Kong to the south and 111.12 km from Guangzhou to the north. As a result, the western port area is connected to the pearl river region which includes cities and counties along the river. The western port is also linked to On See dun waterway which allows trade to reach all the way to other ports.The eastern port area is situated north of Dapeng Bay where the harbor is broad and calm and is claimed to be the best natural harbor in South China.
Port of Shenzhen consist of facilities in the following areas: Da Chan Bay, Shekou, Chiwan, Mawan, Yantian, Dongjiaotou, Fuyong, Xiadong, Shayuchong and Neihe.
Hong Kong (China)
Hong Kong is a deep-water seaport in the South China Sea, Here are dominated mainly container shipments for export products. To a lesser extent the port is used for the delivery of raw materials or passengers. Port is one of the key factors for economic development in the region. Hong Kong today is one of the three biggest world ports based on annual container turnover. Partly, the port has encountered problems in the year 2008 as a result of economically difficult period. But from that moment began strengthening of the position of port Gonkong. Due to positive dynamics freight rates in Hongkong port were reduced. Rate for direction Hong Kong - Europe decrease about 70%.
Shanghai (China)
Shanghai port has a favorable geographical position, is situated between North and South China and has a direct access to the sea. Shanghai Port is located on the west coastline of the Pacific Ocean and has length of 18,000 km. Currently, the port of Shanghai is one of the key supply chain of import and export. It has trade relations with 500 ports in 200 countries and regions worldwide. Almost 99 % of the total foreign trade turnover of Shanghai is carried through the port of Shanghai. In 2010, the port of Shanghai obtained the biggest volume of cargo turnover in the world. In 2011 the turnover of the Shanghai port increased by 11.4 % compared to 2010 reaching 730 million tons.
Ningbo (China)
Ningbo Port was founded in the year 738 during the ancient Tang Dynasty. It was known as "Minchzhou" and with Yangzhou and Guangzhou was one of the three major seaports of foreign trade. A major jump in the development of the port was in 1992. At present the port of Ningbo is one of the most important and busiest ports in China.
Ningbo Port includes several ports: Beylun (seaport), Zhenhay and old Ningbo port (internal river port). This is one of the few ports in China with a capacity of more than 100 million tons. It trades with more than 560 ports belonging to different countries. The only disadvantage is water pollution in the port area .
Xiamen(China)
The Port of Xiamen is an important deep water port located in the mouth of the Jiulongjiang River on the southern coastline of Fujian province in thePeople's Republic of China (PRC). It is one of the trunk line ports in the Asia-Pacific region. It is ranked the 8th largest container port in the PRC, and ranks 17th among the world's top 100. It is the 4th port in the PRC with the capacity to handle the sixth-generation large container vessels. In 2013, Xiamen handled 191 million tons of cargo, including 8.08 million TEUs of containers
Qingdao (China)
Qingdao port has a favorable geographical location and natural conditions and is an important transit port in the valley of the Yellow River and the west coast of the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the ten busiest ports in the world and has a reputation not only of an international trade point, but also is known as an important cultural center with several universities and major centers of marine science and technology. In 2007, the city and its surroundings were living more than 2.8 million people.
Qingdao concluded trade contacts with more than 450 ports located in more than 130 countries. In 1984, the Government of the PRC for Qingdao assigned special status of Economic and Technological Developed Zone, the purpose of which was to support the development of secondary and tertiary industries in the city.
Dalian(China)
The Port of Dalian (38° 55' N 121° 41' E) founded in 1899 lies at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning province and is the most northern ice-free port in China. It is also the largest multi-purpose port in Northeast China serving the seaports North Asia, East Asia and the Pacific Rim. It is the trade gateway to the Pacific. It is the second largest container transshipment hub in mainland China.
The Port of Dalian consists of Daliangang, Dalianwan, Xianglujiao, Nianyuwan, Ganjinzi, Heizuizi, Si'ergou and Dayaowan port areas. Port of Dalian is owned and managed by the state-owned Dalian Port Corporation Limited. It has established trading and shipping links with more than 300 ports in 160 countries and regions of the world. There are 68 international and domestic container shipping routes. Port of Dalian handles at least 100 million incargo throughput annually.The port has 80 modern berths in production. Out of the 80 berths, 38 are deep water berths for vessels of over 10,000 tonnes deadweight (DWT). The annual throughout was 64.17 million tons in 1995.
